To help raise awareness of cancer associated thrombosis, we created an interactive cancer patient diary. We follow along as the patient flicks through the pages, discovering key information and reminders that will help them along the journey to recovery.
All the illustrations and notes were hand-drawn and animated with a stop-motion-like effect. The idea was to make them look like notes and doodles that a patient may have drawn themselves in their own diary.
Supporting animations were motion-tracked to photographs and moving phone screens. These were developed in a different visual style so it looks like the content that the patient may have added to their story.
All the assets that the hands interact with were designed specifically for this video. Key messages and statistics were designed to look like article cut-outs and information fliers.
